Landscapes

2014 - 2019

This collection of photographs encompasses five years of exploring the desert southwest. The majority of the images are from New Mexico while a few are from Arizona, Utah, and Texas. Many of the images feature grand views of vast and often stark landscapes while some focus on the more intimate details of the land. Several of the images feature ancestral sites and sacred formations.

Weather also plays an important role in many of the images. Thunderstorms, snow flurries and lightning create dramatic backdrops for many of the scenes.

The images were all created with a digital camera that was modified to capture the infrared spectrum of light. While most of the later images are infrared, the earlier images are of the visible spectrum.
