Air Hazard 388

On September 12, 2020, Portland, Oregon, faced an unprecedented environmental crisis as smoke from nearby wildfires caused the Air Quality Index to soar to 388. At this alarming level, the air quality was classified as hazardous, marking the worst conditions experienced by any major city globally at that time.

This work captures the profound impact of this event, highlighting the extreme consequences of environmental degradation and the urgent need for awareness and action. Through these images, I aim to convey the severity of the air quality crisis and its broader implications for our health and environment. This stark visual representation serves as a powerful reminder of the urgent challenges we face and the importance of addressing the factors contributing to such hazardous conditions.
